In my work, I combine conceptual design with the power of storytelling. Through this fusion, I aim to create things that are compelling, truly moving and, perhaps, make the world a more beautiful place.

My name is Julia.
I am a designer, researcher, creator, art enthusiast and someone who spends quite a lot of time thinking about why some things seem right to us as a matter of course, whilst others leave us completely cold despite being perfectly designed. I work at the stage where an idea has not yet been fully translated into form: I try to understand its essence, reveal the connections between elements, and use these to develop systems, identities and experiences.
Projects
I guide ideas from their inception to their final form – strategically, visually and digitally. Branding, digital products, communication and the systems that link them.
Research
What is beauty? And if it exists – how does one create something truly beautiful? I am documenting my search as an open working hypothesis – through observations, conversations, theory, creative experiments and the perspectives of other people.

I am searching for answers.
What defines us as human beings? What touches, enriches and moves us? What role do beauty, art and design play in this? And which of these might become particularly important in an increasingly technological world? I do not yet know where these questions will lead me. I would therefore like to make my search public – and invite others to join in the discussion and offer their views.
